The
State of North Carolina Comprehensive Major Medical Plan
Hospital and medical insurance is available to eligible full-time
and part-time employees and their dependents. The university
pays an amount determined by the N.C. General Assembly toward
the cost of coverage for permanent employees who work 30 or
more hours per week for nine or more months per calendar year.
Employees are responsible for the difference paid by the university
and the total premium. Premiums for health care are paid on
a pre-tax basis unless otherwise requested.
